The Spanish dish known as morcilla is quite similar to the British dish known as black pudding. It is produced in the province of Extremadura using the meat of Iberian black pigs that are 100 percent purebred. Tapas nights are made better with this wine because of its deep hue and robust taste profile.

Morcilla Extra Asturiana Ahumado by El Hórreo is a widely known blood sausage made from pork blood and fat. It is prepared by using the fattiest portion of the pig, complete with bacon, onions and other spices to make the flavor intensify. The resulting mixture is stuffed into natural casing and cured to its optimum point.

Morcilla Extra Asturiana Ahumado, as a base ingredient, may be used to make everything from omelettes to filled red peppers to puff pastry to pizza to flavorful nachos to croquettes.

Severino, the father of El Horreo, opened the first of several El Horreo sausage factories in 1908, when he let his entrepreneurial spirit run wild. To demonstrate and stress their dedication to the highest quality in their goods, he chose the tagline “Meats identified under the microscope.”

Incarsa, a business founded by six meat-producing firms, including El Horreo, went bankrupt in the 1970s, causing a major setback for the industry. That didn’t stop them, however!

Rebuilding El Horreo from the ground up and reinvigorating it with the help of the founder’s descendants, Mari Carmen and Joaquin, has brought the family business to a new level of success and recognition.
