Les Jamelles’ Les Petites Jamelles Rouge is a fantastic wine. Hailing from Pays d’Oc - a Protected Geographical Indications (P.G.I.) area - it contains both Grenache and Carignan, two famous Spanish grapes. The use of these grapes is genius. Grenache, known for its herbal, red fruity notes paired with Carignan, known for its strong liquorice and spicy palate, work excellently together.
The result of thermovinification for one half of the grapes and traditional vinification for the other is a well rounded, soft wine that promotes delicate tannins and fruitiness. To the eye: deep crimsons with full, vivid highlights. On the nose: a full bouquet of ripe red and black fruits with soft notes of cinnamon delight the senses. On the palate: Bold, medium tannins, and a delicious sweetness promote spices and fruitiness. It is well-balanced and not overpowering.
This delicious wine can be paired with many Spanish dishes, even if it is a French wine. It would work best with cured meats and is excellent with tapas. It is light, vivid, and refreshing and is best at getting the meal started.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
