Single-variety grappas have been around for millennia since producers, mostly craftsmen, distilled the only sort of marc available to them. However, these grappas were not appreciated until the late 1970s and early 1980s, when producers began to choose and show all of the diverse varieties of local grapes available. Following in the footsteps of the wine of the same name, this Grappa is gaining recognition all over the world year after year.
Grappa Amarone is prepared by distilling pomace from Amarone wine production (Corvina, Molinara, and Rondinella) collected in the Valpolicella region of Verona. The aromatic power of these marcs spreads during the distillation process, resulting in a Grappa that is noble at heart, rich, and strong.
On the palate, the Grappa Amarone is soft, balanced and delicate with red fruits fragrances. The aroma: intensely floral with fruit hints.
Grappa Amarone by Zanin is a perfect match for dark chocolate, chocolate cakes, pastry, ice creams or fruit salads.
Store Grappa upright, in an area away from direct sunlight and heat. Make sure it’s tightly closed once opened. You may refrigerate, as Grappa is usually served chilled. It will last indefinitely, but if aroma, appearance, and taste become different and strange, discard.
