Jolonch Dark Chocolate with Oranges is a fine dark, bitter chocolate. The quality of the cacao used is evident in the first bite. While bitter, the sweetness of the orange zest is the perfect counterbalance to the bitterness of the dark chocolate. The texture of Jolonch chocolates is quite different as well, due to the roasted cacao beans having been stone ground imparting not only an interesting flavor, but an interesting texture to boot!
Enjoy as a dessert on its own after a meal. The safest pairing would be a vintage port or sherry, but if you’re looking for an adventure, try pairing this chocolate with a Grenacha or Syrah (or even an interesting Granacha Syrah).
