Phebus Chardonnay is a delicious wine grown and fermented in Mendoza, Argentina - a region known for its world-class Malbec. The wonderful thing about Chardonnay is that it is an adaptable grape and can be grown in a variety of climates, making Mendoza an excellent location for growing the grape.
The wine itself is medium-bodied with a short finish. It is quite bold at the front end, and is refreshingly dry with some big acidity. To the eye: Light yellow with hints of green splashed throughout. On the nose: Pleasant notes of citrus and some white fruits, like pear. On the palate: big notes of citrus, mainly lemon and grapefruit, with thoughts of oak and leather. It is refreshing, crisp, and shows finesse.
This Chardonnay is particularly easy to sip on during a warm, summer’s day, particularly in the early afternoon. It pairs well with seafood and fish dishes. It also goes rather well with sushi, for an out of the box dining experience.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
