An exquisite ‘feminine’ Pinot Noir hailing from the wonderful Chambolle-Musigny appellation and expertly created by world-renowned winery, Edouard Delaunay.

The Edouard Delaunay Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes LE Village is simply exquisite. It is made from pure Pinot Noir grapes grown and harvested in the north of the Chambolle-Musigny appellation in the famous Côte de Nuits. Pinot Noir hailing from Chambolle-Musigny are known for their femininity, in stark contrast with their Gevrey-Chambertin counterparts.

The Edouard Delaunay Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes LE Village is no different. It is a beautiful wine with soft, elegant curves. It is medium-bodied and offers soft, supple tannins. It is dry and acidic, offering the utmost refreshment. To the eye: it is dressed beautifully, offering deep ruby reds. On the nose: intense notes of red fruits such as raspberry and strawberry are complemented by notes of chocolate, truffle, and spices. On the palate: black pepper, licorice, and red fruits are first noticed with subtle notes of blueberry and blackberry. It offers a medium finish and is remarkably smooth.

The wine should be allowed to breathe substantially before drinking. This will really allow the acidity and the tannins to further soften.
