The Rupert and Rothschild Vignerons Baroness Nadine is a relatively young Chardonnay, having been released to the public for the first time in 1998. Since then, it has impressed Chardonnay lovers around the world with its complexity, freshness, and beguiling nature.
The Rupert and Rothschild Vignerons Baroness Nadine is a bold, forward Chardonnay. It presents well-balanced dryness with a playful, delicious sweetness that not only complements the acidity, but also tempers it. To the eye: beautiful golden yellows are observed. On the nose: a wonderful bouquet of minerals, spices, and citrus are presented. On the palate: notes of peach, lemon, and apple are noticed with slight emphasis on spices and minerals. The wine is bold, forward, and has a deep, long finish.
The Rupert and Rothschild Vignerons Baroness Nadine pairs perfectly with light fish and chicken dishes and can hold its own against pork dishes, too. The wine is also perfectly enjoyed on its own to fully savor the wonderful flavors South African Chardonnay has to offer.
