Though only formally established in the 1960’s (thanks to the joining of the Rolly and Gassmann families), Rolly Gassmann has been producing fantastic, professional wines since the 17th century. With their expert know-how and understanding of wines and grapes, they are able to infuse some wonderful methods into their production, creating delicious, unique wines.
This particular Riesling is rather interesting. In typical Rolly Gassmann fashion, this particular wine is mature, deep, and promotes intense characteristics. It is a medium-bodied wine that is neither too sweet, nor too dry. The dryness is perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the wine, offering a rather remarkable sip that is comforting and satisfying. The palate is refreshed by a refined acidity that perfectly counterbalances the sweetness of the wine. To the eye: a golden, lemon yellow can be observed. On the nose: floral bouquets complemented by citrus aromas. On the palate: delicious notes of candied citrus peel, lemon, and delicious spices are complemented by wonderfully mature minerals and spices. It offers a deep, long finish that is lingering and complex.
This wonderful wine is perfectly paired with good, rich cheeses. It is wonderful when paired with chicken and fish.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
