The Pinot Gris Brandurts de Bergheim is an excellent ambassador for Alsace Pinot Gris. This particular wine offers the fruity / floral notes that Pinot Gris is known for, but rather than being too dry, the winemaker expertly creates the perfect balance between dryness and sweetness, while offering soft, mature acidity to refresh and cleanse the palate. To the eye: beautiful lemon yellow with gold hues interspersed. On the nose: the bouquet is rich with apricots, pears, and beautiful, golden raisins. On the palate: much of the same for taste - rich apricots, refreshing pear, and sweet golden raisins. The finish is rich, complex, and long.
This delicious wine pairs perfectly with spicy foods, refreshing and calming the palate. It pairs well with mushrooms and braised meats.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
