The Marqués De Cáceres Antea Blanco is a barrel fermented wine that is allowed to age on its lees for months. The barrels used are mainly new French oak that lend a delicious spiciness to the wine. The Antea is produced with a combination of Tempranillo Blanco and Viura grapes. The result is a full bodied, bold wine with a delicious fruitiness.
While the Antea is bold (in typical Marqués De Cáceres fashion), there is a refreshing balance between acidity, dryness, and sweetness. To the eye: deep golden yellow, almost an elixir at first glance. On the nose: beautiful notes of peach, white flowers, and vanilla are pleasantly observed. On the palate: tropical fruits, apricot, and vanilla are observed with subtle hints of peach interspersed throughout. It presents a long finish with a delicious oakiness thanks to the maturation process of the wine.
This is a bold wine that pairs excellently with chicken, fish, and light pork dishes. It can also be consumed on its own to savor and experience the complexity of a truly masterfully created Rioja Blanco.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
