Marqués De Cáceres is best known for its Rioja wines. Full-bodied and delicious, they are sought after by wine lovers around the world. But this famous winery also has a vineyard in Rueda, a small village located in the Castilla y León region. This small municipality produces some of Spain’s best whites and are sought after around the world. While predominantly Verdejo, Marqués De Cáceres has taken advantage of the temperate climate in this region and uses their very own Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
The Marqués De Cáceres Excellens Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent example of a delicious Rueda white. It is medium-bodied, light, dry, and extremely refreshing. To the eye: you will be greeted with a rich, golden color. To the nose: a refreshing bouquet with strong floral notes that are enhanced when oxygenated. On the palate: heavy citrus notes while predominantly promoting grapefruit and hints of lemon.
This delicious wine is refreshing. It is best sipped on a rather warm evening after a hot afternoon. It works well with fish courses as well as chicken and light appetizers.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
