With lemony and floral aromas, the Bestheim Riesling Classic has a very expressive nose but is also very beautifully balanced and lengthy. It has medium intensity and is quite complex, making it lush and bright, with some minerality that is typical of a Riesling.
Riesling is one of the grape varieties grown in the Alsace region, which is where its makers, Bestheim, hail from. It is one of the varieties that is world-renowned and known as the ultimate Rhineland variety. It reaches maturity in specifically cool climates and gets its floral, mineral and aromatic qualities because of the rich soil in the region.
The Bestheim Riesling Classic is ideal for enjoying and pairing with pork, rich fish like tuna or salmon, spicy food, vegetarian meals or cured meats. It is also a great pairing for traditional sauerkraut, the mild and soft goat cheese and for those with more adventurous palates, snails for escargot.
