The Bestheim Gewurztraminer Classic is one of the most notable and popular Alsatian wines. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, followed by a maturing process that is six months long for the preservation of its freshness and flavor, this wine is distinct because of its flavorful fruity notes and aromatic qualities.
Featured in Vivino’s 2018 Wine Style Awards for its 2015 Vintage, this well-loved French white wine is perfumey to the nose and has been described as eating a Turkish Delight in a flower shop. The Gewürztraminer is an aromatic grape and is usually likened to exotic fruits such as lychee, star fruit, passion fruit or mango. Another thing that makes it extra aromatic are the notes of orange peel, roses, honey, and baking spices are also common fragrances.
The Bestheim Gewurztraminer Classic pairs well with Asian flavors and cuisine and cheeses with very distinct characteristics like Roquefort or Munster, or a variety of desserts like apple fritters or a creme brulee with exotic fruits.
