Chickpeas are simply delicious. From the humble (yet, for the uninitiated, extremely complex) hummus, to salads and stews, the chickpea is something that all culinary enthusiasts around the world must have in their pantries. Chickpeas are something that can be paired with pretty much anything.
The process of preparing and cooking chickpeas is actually quite time consuming. It requires a lot of forethought and planning, especially if these wonderful legumes are not part of a regular diet. Luckily, Leyenda has seen this demand and prepared chickpeas for our dining pleasure.
These chickpeas are lightly brined and bottled. You may add extra salt to your dishes, but the chickpeas themselves will already be quite salty, so make sure to taste your dishes as you cook. These chickpeas are great in salads or as a final addition to hearty stews. They can be used for hummus, but make sure to check for consistency as your hummus may turn out to be too runny.
Store your tin/jar in a cool, dark, and dry pantry. Store in fridge once opened.
