Harmonious, with medium intensity, the Masachs Brut Reserva Cava is a well-loved Spanish Cava blend sparkling wine with aromas of fresh, white flowers and citrus fruits. It has a light to medium body, medium complexity and medium length.Harvested and produced in Penedes, Catalonia, Spain, the Masachs Brut Reserva Cava is made from a blend of Pareliado, Macabeo and Sharello, using traditional methods of creating Cava–with a secondary fermentation in the bottle for 40 days, and aged further for 40 months.
Because it is quite refreshing and clean to the palate, it pairs well with seafood and shellfish, poultry, as an aperitif. The Masachs Brut Reserva Cava can also be enjoyed with a charcuterie board of cured meats and various meats and cheeses. You can prepare a simple Spanish themed board with Jamon Serrano, Manchego, Goat Cheese, Kalamata Olives, pickled peppers, baguette slices, a Romesco sauce on the side, among so many other options!
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
