Mailly is known for excellence around the world. Mailly is the only winemaker to source all of their grapes from grand cru villages in Champagne. The only time a Champagne can be labeled as grand cru is if the producer sources all of their grapes from grand cru villages. The same is applied to Mailly’s L’Intemporelle Grand Cru Brut.
The L’Intemporelle Grand Cru Brut is a delicious Champagne. It is produced with a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The result is a citrusy, spicey, dry champagne with a slight sweetness to balance the acidity. It shares lingering fizz that evolves into a creamy foam. To the eye: Light gold with slight verdant hints in certain lights. On the nose: A strong floral bouquet is presented mixed with white fruits and citrus tones, such as pear and lemon zest. On the palate: Silky, vibrant citrus notes are observed towards the front finishing with a salty chalkiness towards the end.
This delicious Champagne is refreshing and works well as an aperitif. It is also paired well with heavy meals, aiding in digestion and refreshment.
