Pamplona is most commonly known for its famous bull run, but this is not all the area is known for. The Alejandro Troncal Tipo Pamplona is a delicious cured meat that is made from the very best pork in the area. Made with a mixture of fatty and lean meats, the juiciness and flavor of the meat is ensured in every bite.
The pork is taken from the shoulder, belly, and lean parts of the pig. It is then mixed with copious amounts of pimenton de la vera (smoked paprika) as well as garlic and seasoning to give it extra character and flavor. The smoked paprika is what gives this delicious meat its trademark red color.
This delicious meat is cured, meaning it’s ready to eat straight from the packet. It must be enjoyed simply - without pomp or fanfare. Remove from the packet, and enjoy with crackers or fresh, crust bread. Or simply snack on it as it comes.
