This rosé wine from Bodegas Protos has a lovely salmon hue and is refreshing and light in flavor. Late at night, the majority of the grapes are picked. As a result, it retains its entire color, fragrance, and taste. The Aire de Protos Rosé is matured for two to three months in a cool, inert environment and fermented in stainless steel.
Watermelon, strawberry, peach, and citrus flavors abound in this delicate wine. It’s a perfect summer sipper.
Rosé may be enjoyed in a variety of ways, but one of our favorites is with salty, crumbly cheese. Try out our Halloumi. You might also try a gazpacho or a niçoise salad.
In addition to sushi and Vietnamese spring rolls, this Protos Aire is a great accompaniment to light Asian cuisine. If you’re in the mood for something heartier, try a seafood pasta dish made with olive oil. It will perfectly counterbalance the rosé’s sweetness.
It was in 1927 that a group of 11 childhood friends from Peafiel joined together as adults from various professions to respect and celebrate their families’ viticultural heritage and traditions as well as their love of the hamlet. It was their goal to produce high-quality wines and reclaim a long-forgotten wine area from obscurity.
They were not only successful, but they went above and above. These people, together with their ancestors and successors, had a significant impact on the history of the region and were able to create world-class wines. So well-known is the Ribera del Duero appellation that it has been adopted by the rest of Spain. More than 250 families now call Bodegas Protos home, making it one of the region’s most significant wineries.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
