Imagine a wine so expertly balanced that it can literally be paired with just about anything. Imagine this same wine being so confident in itself, that it can literally be enjoyed on its lonesome. Rosé d’Anjou La Jaglerie is that wine. A wonderfully balanced rosé that can be served with pretty much anything, and it will hold its own.
This wine is medium-bodied with a medium finish. It presents medium tannins and acidity so refreshment and enjoyment is all but assured. Having said that, it is a light wine and before you know it, the bottle has been polished off. To the eye: it has a pale pink color with deep reds that shine through in the right light. To the nose: red fruits and floral notes playfully engage the senses and immediately send one to the countryside on a balmy summer’s afternoon, just before lunch is served. On the palate: notes of cherry and banana shine through to give this wine a coy little edge. It has a sweetness that is perfectly balanced in offsetting the acidity, so it seems lighter than it should be because of this.
This wine can be enjoyed on its own. It works well as a good digestif. A light wine to top off your meal and aid in digestion. It can be served with a plethora of dishes, ranging from fish, white meat, and red meat. What makes this wine so great is that it works with anything you may desire. Try it and you won’t be disappointed.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
