While the larger galets are best used in the famous sopa de galets, galetets can also be used at the risk of being labeled a heretic. Ideally used as a great salad pasta, Sanmarti’s galetets can also be used as a great conchiglie substitute, as these smaller shells are excellent at holding in sauce.
A great dish that is complemented perfectly by galetets is sopa de pollo con fideos - a beautifully delicate Spanish chicken soup that is made as much for the stomach as it is for the soul. Included is of course chicken, lots of garlic, onions, carrots, celery, and of course, galetets. They can also be a great replacement for standard macaroni when making mac and cheese. Each shell is a flavor-packed explosion dedicated to the delivery of maximum flavor.
