Pardina lentils (also known as brown lentils) are found in millions of homes around the world. They work as a great side dish (just like other lentils) but pardina lentils work better in soups and stews. Pardina lentils are brown in color and are smaller than other lentil varieties. They also hold their shape really well, making them a very good choice for those intent on good presentation.
A great way to take a cheap dish and make it stretch even longer (if you’re working on a budget). A crowd favorite is to make a simple stew with ingredients available (or easily replaced) anywhere. All you need is onion, garlic, carrots, celery, potatoes, tomatoes, chorizo, salt and pepper, smoked paprika, oregano, water (of course), cilantro (for garnish) and of course, pardina lentils. You have yourself the makings of a beautiful, yet extremely simple and easy to create chorizo and pardina lentil stew!
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
