The Sileni The Plateau Pinot Noir offers complex aromas of varietal dark cherry fruit and flowers. The palate is full of delicious black cherry, spice, and smooth tannins.
The grapes used in this wine are grown on elevated river terraces in the Mangatahi sub-region, which is colder and inland. Crops were reduced to 2.2kg per vine on average to ensure ripe and concentrated fruit flavors.
After being partially crushed into a combination of open top and closed top tanks, the open fermenters were manually plunged, while the closed fermenters were rummaged and pumped-over for extraction. The malolactic fermentation spontaneously finished in French barriques in the spring. It is aged for at least nine months before being blended and bottled.

The Sileni The Plateau Pinot Noir is excellent with mushroom risotto, lamb, or truffle and parmesan pasta.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
