A wonderful representation of an interestingly delicious Pinot Noir from the Santenay commune in France.

The Santenay commune in France is known for the wonderful Pinot Noir grapes and wines produced in this area. The climate offers the perfect growing conditions for Pinot Noir and the soils are fertile and impart many interesting flavors into the grape. The Edouard Delaunay Santenay Premier Cru Beauregard is no exception. It offers surprises and refreshment at every sip.

This wine is quite interesting. It is light on the tongue with subtle tannins and smooth, balanced acidity. It also offers a playful sweetness that is particularly refreshing. To the eye: a beautiful, medium ruby red is most noticeable. On the nose: notes of red fruits and berries, such as cherry, redcurrant, and raspberries. Spicy balsamic can also be detected. On the palate: beautiful notes of red cherry, cinnamon, and cigar can be detected. The wine offers a medium finish that is punctuated by subtle, soft tannins.

The wine is quite refreshing and can be enjoyed thoroughly on its own. It will also work well with smoked fish and meats accompanied by fresh, crusty bread and mustards.
