Rupert And Rothschild Merlot-cabernet

Hailing from the world-famous Stellenbosch wine region in South Africa, this beautiful wine combines the best of two worlds - Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Stellenbosch wine region is best known for its Cabernet Sauvignon that grows extremely well in this region, thanks to dry climate and the influence of the ocean which is about 50 kms away from the vineyard. Ruper and Rothschild have created the perfect representation of South African wine greatness by expertly combining the elegance of Bordeaux with the power and fragrance of South Africa.

This wine is medium-bodied and is quite bold on the palate. It presents nice tannins and high acidity making this wine extremely refreshing. To the eye: beautiful vistas of deep, ruby reds greet the eye. On the nose: a delicious bouquet of raspberry and plum with notes of ripe figs are evident. On the palate: large notes of blueberry, raspberry, and figs with hints of cassis and oak. This wine is smooth and is very easy to drink.

Rupert and Rothschild’s Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot cuvée is just as easily consumed on its own as it is paired excellently with venison, parma ham, and salads with roquet.

Storage Instructions

Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
