Quinta do Valdoeiro Reserva Tinto is a wonderful wine. Hailing from Bairrada in Central Portugal, the wine is made with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Baga, and Touriga Nacional. The result is a complex, layered wine that holds its own when paired with strong dishes.
The Quinta do Valdoeiro Reserva Tinto is bold, with tight, fresh tannins. It promotes a wonderfully refreshing dryness that is complemented by a nice, smooth acidity. The wine is balanced and is an excellent representation of a delicious tinto from Central Portugal. To the eye: intense reds are observed and are a pleasure to view. On the nose: a strong bouquet of red and dark fruits intermingle with a fresh spiciness and minerality. On the palate: much of the same, but with notes of tobacco and balsamic. The wine is forward, and has a long, complex finish with many layers.
The Quinta do Valdoeiro Reserva pairs perfectly with red meats - be it grilled or braised. It is the perfect all-rounder and multiple bottles should grace your cellars or collections.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
