Easy to enjoy and bursting with black fruit, this strong Spanish red wine is a crowd-pleaser. From the Ribera del Duero area of Spain, this talented and engaging young man. Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, a competition with the primary goal of ensuring that consumers can identify wines of the highest quality, awarded Protos Ribera Duero Roble Gold.

Tinta de Pais or Tempranillo, a prominent Spanish varietal, is used in its entirety. Six months in French and American oak casks and another six months in the bottle go into this wine. It’s a cherry red with a purple rim that never fades. The smells of crimson and black fruits, as well as spicy and light toasted notes, stand out on the nose, which is forthright and strong. Structured, fruity, fresh, with a sweet, balanced wood flavor and extremely pleasant soft tannins, this wine has a lot to offer the novice wine drinker.

Tomato-based foods, such as pomodoro pasta, puttanesca sauce, stuffed eggplants, and stews, pair particularly well with this red wine. Chistorra, salami, and semi-aged cheeses also mix well with this dry red wine. Ideally, it should be served at a temperature of 15 to 16 degrees Celsius.

Protos was created in March 1927 by eleven Peafiel wine farmers under the name Bodega Ribera Duero. Their mission was to make world-class wines from the region’s renowned Tinto Fino grapes. This is the first time the Ribera Duero trademark may be used for the Ribera del Duero designation of origin, 55 years after Protos granted the trademark.

Protos has never stopped growing up to the present day. Ribera del Duero, the term given to the D.O. Control Board that monitors the quality of the area’s wines, was coined in the 1980s because of the Winery’s reputation and excellence. The Winery’s wine-aging cellar was expanded in 1995, and it became a major player in the global wine industry.

Since we started, the project has grown: One of the most advanced wineries in Burgos (Burgos) has been taken over by Protos. Three million kilos of grapes may be produced, but only 1.5 million kilos are sent to be sorted.

Wine and Spirits Winery of the Year and the International Superbrands Council’s Marca de Excelencia are among the awards this winery has received.

THESE STORAGE DIRECTIONS

Red wines that have not been opened should be stored in a dark, cold, and dry location away from sources of frequent vibration. Keep the cork wet by placing the bottle horizontally in a wine rack or cellar. It is recommended that food be kept at a temperature of between 16°C and 18°C. Once opened, a bottle will remain excellent for 3 to 5 days standing straight in the refrigerator.
