Marqués De Cáceres is known around the world for its delicious, expertly crafted wines. All grapes, whether it be from their Rueda or Rioja bodegas are hand-picked and sorted to ensure the very best quality grapes make the cut. The same is of course true for the Excellens Cuvée Especial. This interesting, punchy wine promotes big bold flavors, with well-balanced tannins, and a refreshing acidity. This particular wine is made with 100% Tempranillo.
Marqués De Cáceres Excellens Cuvée Especial is a bold, forward wine with a nice finish. It has nice, smooth tannins and is well balanced. To the eye: deep reds with splashes of purple mixed in. On the nose: a distinct bouquet of black and dark fruits, such as raspberry, cherry, and plum. Notes of dried herbs, like cinnamon and cloves. On the palate: medium-bodied with deep notes of red and dark berries. High-alcohol and ripe tannins to refresh the palate.
This delicious wine is wonderful enough to be enjoyed on its own. But it is also excellent when paired with bold flavors, like game, lamb, and grilled meats. Sharp, vintage cheeses also complement the wine very well.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
