Domaines Edmond De Rothschild Les Granges

Les Granges des Domaines by the famous vineyards of Baron Edmond de Rothschild is an interesting, well-balanced wine that is produced with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The result is an intense, spicy wine that is as much a pleasure to drink on its own as it is paired with food.

The grape picking process of the vineyard is all done by hand. This is to ensure that the very best grapes are selected and used when creating the wine. The wine is then fermented and excessively macerated and then aged in second-fill barrels for 12 months.

The wine is bold, full-bodied, and boasts excellent tannins. It is acidic and refreshing. This wine is best enjoyed on a summer’s afternoon watching the sunset. It can also be enjoyed with cheese plates filled with semi-soft to hard cheeses that are both bold and pungent in flavor, such as epoisses, reblochon, Saint-Marcellin, etc. Pair with sweet fruits such as grapes and raisins.

Storage Instructions

Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
