While typical Bordeaux wines tend to be bold, powerful, and robust, wines hailing from Margaux are rather interesting in their uniqueness. While imbibing characteristics of Bordeaux creations, wines from Margeaux lean towards the more subtle end of the spectrum. Margeaux wines are tender, refined, and elegant.
The La Sirène de Giscours Margaux features a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The result is a beautifully bold, forward wine that delivers a masterclass in refinement and balance. To the eye: beautiful, clear ruby reds are presented. On the nose: in typical Margaux fashion, delicious floral tones coupled with spice and minerals are observed. On the palate: silk, refinement, elegance. The notes presented are red fruits, plum, spices, and minerals. The finish is long, but could be longer if the wine is allowed to age for a little longer in bottle.
This beautiful wine is paired wonderfully with poultry, light pork dishes, and charcuterie. It also pairs rather well with subtle, soft cheeses and crusty, fresh bread.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
