Jerome Quiot Côtes du Rhône

Cotes du Rhone wines are marvelous. They are generally medium to bold in structure and present a delicious fruitiness that is quite versatile. Jerome Quiot Cotes du Rhone is no different. It is a delicious wine produced with a blend of varietals, namely Cinsaut, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre, and Syrah.

The result is a bold wine of medium intensity with soft, smooth tannins. The wine is dry with a slightly playful sweetness that is both surprising and welcome. The wine offers a gentle acidity that is not too puckering, but just enough to be refreshing. To the eye: this wine offers a beautiful, intense, deep ruby red. On the nose: notes of red and black berries are observed, such as raspberries, blueberries, and blackcurrant. On the palate: much of the same in terms of fruit with some cherry thrown in for good measure. The wine is very smooth and the tannins are quite soft, though deliciously persistent. This wine does very well with 2 to 3 years extra aging in-cellar to allow the tannins to really mature.

While this delicious Cotes du Rhone is easy to enjoy on its own, it is best paired with grilled meats and hearty stews. The intensity of the wine will not only complement your meal, but will also elevate it.
