La Vendimia, which translates as “the harvest,” signifies the qualitative potential of a Spanish jóven, or wine matured in oak barrels for less than six months. La Vendimia is a mix of Spain’s two original star varietals, Tempranillo and Garnacha, created by renowned Spanish winemaker Alvaro Palacios.
In the scent and on the palate, La Vendimia exhibits a mix of flowery aromas and red fruit qualities of ripe cherries. A lengthy, refreshing finish is complemented with juicy orchard fruit and subtle minerality. The wine has a smooth mouthfeel because to the fine tannins.
This delightful wine, which should be consumed within the next three years, can also be served slightly chilled.
This wine and its multiple vintages (namely, 2009, 2010,2011 and 2015) has notably won the following awards:
Wine Spectator Top 100 #47 - Wine Spectator Top 100
Bronze - The TEXSOM International Wine Awards
Silver - The TEXSOM International Wine Awards
