Grupo Álvaro Palacios Pétalos

An exceptional wine that is a mix of different grape varieties that are aged 8 months in a barrel:

92% Mencía,

5% Red grapes: Alicante Bouschet, Gran Negro, Pan y Carne, Negreda

3% White grapes: Valenciana, Jerez, Godello

The central Bierzo is a sinuous basin of worn hills, covered with continental scrub and Atlantic greenery. Further up, in the town of Corullón, the surrounding mountain ranges contrast with their much earlier geology. There are slopes and hills where the scattered holm oaks shelter fields of heather and oregano.

Jovial and fragrant, the Grupo Álvaro Palacios Pétalos is a wine that expresses all the landscapes, the flowers, the flowers, soils and orientations of the region.

A bit on the dry side, this full-bodied wine pairs well with roast beef, roast veal, hamburgers, venison.

Storage Instructions

Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
