What is Barolo? A Borolo is a full-bodied red from the Piedmont region in Italy. It is made from the Nebbiolo grape. This grape presents a high tannic, high acidic wine experience, similar to Chianti, but is a lot fruitier, and in cooler years, can be quite herbaceous, with notes of rose hip, leather, and red clay shining through.
The beautiful Arinone, meaning powerful and complete, indeed lives up to its meaning. It has bold flavors, powerful tannins, and stark acidity, but it is very well balanced and very refreshing to drink. To the eye: a dark, ruby red greets the eye, with notes of viole. On the nose: A bouquet of red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry. On the palate: medium-bodied with notes of red berries and red fruits, such as raspberry, strawberry, and cherry.
This powerful wine deserves to be paired with a powerful meal. Pair this delicious wine with grilled steaks, like rib eye, or with osso buco, a powerful meal indeed.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
