Another wonderful wine from Bodegas Frontaura is their kosher wine. This wine still uses the Tinto de Toro grape but conforms to all processes and ingredients as prescribed by Jewish dietary law (Kashrut).
Because this wine is produced in the Toro region of Spain, the wine is extremely bold with its flavors. Expect an intense wine experience. It is quite tannic with a slight smoothness that helps balance the wine. It is very dry with very little sweetness, and is well-balanced with its acidity and softness, but leans toward the acidic side of things. To the eye, expect a ruby red color that changes hues depending on the light you have it in. On the nose: dark red fruits with hints of pepper and chocolate. Tobacco and oak are also noticed. On the palate: a full-bodied wine that presents thoughts of black currants, dark cherry, and plum. Oak and chocolate can also be tasted. It has a very long aftertaste.
Good proteins paired with this wine are of course beef, lamb, and game. Try pairing this with a dish that has a little sweetness to it. It will complement the dryness of the wine perfectly.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
