Perelada is an excellent winery located in the El Emporda region of Spain. This region originally created Rosé wines, but now produces a mix of red, white, and rosé, with red being the most popular. The region itself is the perfect region for grape growing - temperate mediterranean temperatures are enjoyed year-round, with strong winds enveloping the region allowing grape growers to practice organic farming.
The Finca Garbet produced by the excellent Perelada is simply that - excellent. It is a full bodied wine, but not overpoweringly so. It strikes a good balance between acidity, dryness, and sweetness and presents deliciously round and well-matured tannins. To the eye: this delicious wine offers a deep garnet red with purple hues in the right light. On the nose: delicious notes of herbs, ripe fruits, and delicious minerals that are all reminiscent of the Farm on which these grapes were grown. On the palate: red fruits, herbs, and minerals are all present. What makes this wine so wonderful is the way these different characteristics interact with each other on the palate.
This wine must be allowed to breathe before consumption. The longer the better. You will be surprised with how each part of the wine opens up by allowing the environment into it.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
