The gran reserva malbec is complex and elegant. As it is malbec, one can expect deep, dark reds with shiny violet tones. The bouquet is multiplicitous with delicate hints of dark fruits and exotic flowers. On the palate, this rich, deep red has a dense flavor that is complemented by the surprising softness. It is quite dry but is partnered well with a smoothness only reserved for silky or velvety wines.
This wine will be partnered well with beef, game, rich cheese platters with dark berries, and chocolate. A good example of a dish this wine would perfectly complement is asado con cuero. This beef dish is grilled over an open flame for hours, slow cooking while roasting. It is marinated for 12 - 24 hours in chili, cumin, wine, oil, garlic, and parsley.
Store your tin/jar in a cool, dark, and dry pantry. Unopened, it will last up to 2 years. Once opened, consume your preserved fish/meat within one or two days and keep leftovers with the oil in a sealed container in the fridge.
