The Château Lynch-Bages Echo de Lynch-Bages Pauillac is the second wine of the wonderful Chateau Lynch-Bages. It was given the name Echo de Lynch Bages Pauillac after the nymph, Echo, who was cursed by Hera after the latter found out that the former was simply distracting her to allow Zeus his dalliance with a beautiful mortal. The wine is delicious, and in line with Hera’s curse on Echo, definitely delivers the last word!
The wine, like all good Pauillac wines, is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon - the king grape. The wine is medium-bodied and offers plenty of wonderfully well-rounded tannins. Its dryness and acidity are neither overpowering, nor cloying. To the eye: the wine offers beautiful deep reds. On the palate: delicious aromas of dark and red fruits. On the palate: blackcurrant, plums, and cherries are noticeable with delicious tobacco, vanilla and other spices to complement the fruitiness of the wine. It has a delicious medium-finish and wonderful tannins that complement and enhance the wine.
This wine would do well with at least two hours breathing time to allow it to really open up. It can also be aged a little longer in-bottle to further mature.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
