An elegant wine with many hidden notes and afterthoughts. One word to describe this wine: thought-provoking.

Another excellent wine from Bodegas Frontaura, the Dominio de Valdelacasa Cosecha is made from hand-picked, specially selected Tinto de Toro grapes from the vineyards at Pago de Valdelacasa in the Toro region. This wine shares similar tasting properties with other Bodegas Frontaura wines.

As this wine hails from Toro, it has an extremely bold flavor. There is a nice balance between tannins and smoothness, leaning in favor of a tannic experience; it is quite dry but has a hint of sweetness to help create a wonderful balance; there is a little acidity to this wine, but it is quite soft in comparison to other dry wines. A very well-balanced wine. To the eye: a cherry-red color that throws off purplish hues depending on the light you’re in. On the nose: red fruits and eucalyptus are first noticed with notes of vanilla, coconut and black licorice. On the palate: this wine perfectly embodies Tinta de Toro and shines through with zestiness and spices. Tobacco and coconut are noted alongside the main thoughts of red, dark fruit.

This wine is perfectly suited for a charcuterie board that emphasizes sharp cheeses, like Manchego and Majon. The acidity of these cheeses will balance perfectly with a softness this wine offers. All in all, this wine offers a mature, pleasant, and relaxing drinking experience offered by very few wines.

Storage Instructions

Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
