The wines produced in the Saint-Julien area can be described as epic. They are produced with Cabernet Sauvignon (and / or a blend of varietals) and are pungent, aromatic, and well-balanced. The same can be said for Chateau Talbot’s Conńetable Talbot Saint-Julien.
This delicious wine is medium-bodied and full of personality and characteristics. It is dry and acidic, but not overwhelmingly so. It is refreshing and promotes strong, well-rounded tannins. To the eye: medium ruby reds highlighted with delicious purple hues. On the nose: notes of dark fruits and berries, such as blackcurrant, blueberries, and cherry interspersed with licorice and oaky notes. On the palate: the sip is smooth, silk, and succulent. Dark fruits again prevail with stronger oaky notes to compliment the delicious tannins. The wine presents a good finish with complex, interesting characteristics.
This beautiful wine is perfect on its own. It can also be paired with beef, pork, and game dishes.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
