As is typical for Chiantis hailing from Chianti Colli Senesi, they are dry, medium bodied, and aged between 7 and 24 months in oak barrels. The result is a delicious wine with fresh, thick tannins and a nice acidity that is quite refreshing. The wine is not overly pungent on the palate or on the nose but offers a clear plethora of fruity and spicy notes.
This particular Chianti is no different. It is fresh and medium-bodied, offering a delicious smorgasbord of dark and red fruits. To the eye: deep ruby red with hints of purple in the right light. On the nose: notes of cherry, plum, and spices are most noticeable. On the palate: heavy notes of cherry and red berries, such as raspberry shine through. It is a rather fruity wine. Rich, thick tannins are noticed. A nice, long finish.
This wine is the perfect sipping wine to enjoy after a long hard day of work. It is refreshing and relaxing. It can also be paired with light appetizers and works wonderfully as an aperitif
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
