A limited amount of this cuvee is made each year. For our Cuvée Exceptionnelle to be a quintessence rather than a qualitative extraction, the years of production must be from a magnificent vintage across the board. To earn the title of Cuvée Exceptionnelle, a blend’s organoleptic and ageing potential must remain consistent over the course of maturation.

Quiot Family purchased an ancient Lazaret (a hospice managed by religious Lazarists who played a significant role in 1720 epidemic, when a third of the local population died) and built up a legitimate domaine by joining together plots owned by commune members in the early 19th century. It has been known as the Domaine du Vieux Lazaret since 1915, when it was given this name after being amassed over three centuries via marriage, acquisition, and distribution.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
