Château Langoa Barton Saint-Julien Grand Cru Classé is, indeed, a delicious wine. Hailing from the famous Saint-Julien appellation in Bordeaux, this wonderful 3rd Classified Growth features a delicious combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc allowing the wine to deliver a wonderful fragrance and palate that is typical of the region.
This wine, however, is not your typical wine. It promotes a medium to bold intensity with mature, well-rounded tannins. It is dry, with a playful sweetness that perfectly counters the wine’s acidity. To the eye: as typical of Saint-Julien, the wine promotes a gorgeous, deep ruby red. On the nose: a strong minerality is present - cassis, cedar, tobacco, and stone. On the palate: red berries are presented - raspberry, plum, and cherries, coupled with a rather refreshing minerality. The wine offers a medium finish with plenty of characteristics to enjoy.
The Château Langoa Barton Saint-Julien pairs perfectly with grilled and braised meats. It is also perfect when paired with sharp, pungent cheeses.
