The Chateau La Tour de Mons Margaux is an elegant wine. Hailing from Margaux, it is made with a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, with Merlot being the predominant varietal.
This particular wine is, simply put, a pleasure to drink. It is bold and forward, offering a plethora of characteristics. The tannins are smooth and mature, and the acidity and dryness are refreshing, slightly complemented by a very slight sweetness in the wine. To the eye: the wine presents a beautiful, vibrant, intense red that is a pleasure to observe. On the nose: the bouquet is complex and presents a variety of aromas that complement each other perfectly. On the palate: full-bodied and complex, notes of red fruits and berries, as well as chocolate and tobacco are first noticed with a slight spiciness enhancing the complexity of the wine. The wine presents a deep, complex finish that is long and lingering.
The Chateau La Tour de Mons Margaux is a delicious wine. It can be paired well with heavy meats, such as beef and game. It is also best enjoyed when drunk on its own.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
