This amber colored brandy is indeed a wonderful way to end a meal. Dating back to 1819, this beautiful brandy was produced by the Bodegas Marqués del Mérito. The highest quality musts of Palomino and Airen grapes are used to produce the finest wine spirit. After fermentation, it is then aged in sherry casks for 25 years or more.
To the eye: This brandy ranges from amber to mahogany in color. On the nose: an intense aroma with thoughts of vanilla and toasted pastry will massage the senses. On the palate: it is balanced with notes of vanilla and red grapes. The palate is well balanced.
This is best served after meals as a digestif as it is thought to aid in digestion. It was also used for medicinal purposes as brandy has some antibacterial components due to the alcohol level and was used to treat sore throats, fight the common cold, and reduce coughing.
Keep the bottle upright and airtight and store in a cool, dark environment away from direct sunlight and exposure to high temperature fluctuation.
