Jamon Cocido, or cooked ham, is a cold cut made from pork taken from the animal’s rear limbs and boiled in salt water with or without seasonings.
Fresh, delectable, and low in fat, the Goikoa Jamon Cocido Classico Tonel is prepared using the highest quality raw ingredients and a meticulous production process, resulting in a flavorful and high-grade ham. It’s succulent, with a salty, subtly sweet flavor.
Eugenio Jimenez started Goikoa as a tiny butcher shop in Navarre, Spain, in 1929, preparing his own cold cuts and cured meats. When his son, Javier, took over in 1970, it grew from a small shop to a name in the meat industry. In 1981, it changed its name to Embutidos Goikoa S.A. and launched a commercial brand that has grown steadily since then. They began exporting and expanding internationally in 2005, offering Goikoa to the global market.
This ham can be eaten cold, directly from its packaging, or heated up. It’s great to serve with cheeses, and brilliant as an ingredient in sandwiches.
