Pancetta is a famous, delicious, cured meat that is enjoyed by many around the world. It is flavorful and its uses are almost endless. Semorio de Montanera has taken the pancetta-making process and added their own, epic twist to the process by using 100% pure Iberica pigs for the meat.
Pancetta is similar to bacon in flavor but has no discernible smokiness. It is cured, rather than smoked and allowed to age on its own. Imagine for a moment the flavor of good Italian pancetta combined with the deliciousness of Iberica pigs. The result is a flavorful meat that packs not only the intense flavors of dry aging, but the nuttiness inherent to the Iberica pigs. A more delicious meat, there is none.
This wonderfully cured meat can be used in a variety of ways. It can be eaten on its own or used in a variety of dishes. If one has difficulty locating guanciale for carbonara, this delicious pancetta is a perfect substitute, offering good fat content with a delicious flavor.
To properly conserve and extend the ham shelf life, store in a cool, dry place, with the ideal serving temperature between 17-22º C.
