Rosemary honey is honey generated by bees after they are freed from rosemary blooms. This is a fragrant, woody, evergreen shrub that can grow to be 2 meters tall.
Rosemary honey has a thick texture and an amber-colored tint. Of course, when it crystallizes, your texture gets tougher, and the color changes.
Referred as Miel de Romero in Spanish, this delectable Rosemary Honey comes from the Catalonia and south eastern areas of the Iberian Peninsula.
Predominantly sweet in flavor, it is perfect for pairing with fruit, fish and lamb. Its strong floral aroma creates a variety of distinctively scented infusions that can be utilized in a variety of dishes.
Keep your honey in a cool location away from direct sunlight and make sure the container is tightly sealed. The ideal temperature for storage is from 13 to 21°C. Some manufacturers will set the expiry date of their jars at two years after the bottling date. However, honey can last decades or even centuries if stored properly. It may change color and become crystalized, but it will stay safe to eat. If your honey does crystallize, just place the open jar in warm water and stir until the crystals dissolve. Store in a cool dry place.
