Le Roulé Ail Et Fines Herbes is an amazingly versatile, delicious cheese. It is a rather soft cheese that is made with pasteurized cow’s milk. To add to the creaminess of the cheese, cream is added to the mixture. This creates a delicious silkiness in the cheese that coats the mouth and adds to the richness and texture of the cheese.
Le Roulé Ail Et Fines Herbes is made with garlic and an assortment of herbs, such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, and basil, to name just a few. The cheese is allowed to harden in a log-type mold (giving it its distinct shape) and then encrusted with the garlic and herb mixture. The result is a soft, spreadable cheese that is designed and crafted to blow one’s mind.
This is a centerpiece cheese, for sure. Allow your guests (or yourself) the pleasure of spreading this cheese on fresh, warm, crusty baguette. Serve with a delicious Pinot Noir.
Cheeses (except brined ones in jars) should be stored in the crisper or the butter drawer of a refrigerator, not on the shelves themselves. This is to help regulate their temperature and humidity levels—and prevents the formation of mold. Once opened, they should not be kept in their original packaging. Soft cheeses with delicate rinds need to breathe, so they are best placed in glass containers lined with paper towels to absorb extra moisture. Leave the lid open a tiny bit for air to circulate and don’t forget to write up a label with the date you first opened the package. Kindly pay attention to the best before date label when you receive your cheese. Consume prior to date indicated.
