Pomarina Brut Cider is a famous cider from El Gaitero. It is very similar to the natural variant of this famous brand in the sense that it uses the same 5 apple variants (Durona de Tresali, De la Riega, Verdialona, Raxao, and Regona), but after two months of natural aging, it is placed in fermentation tanks for a second fermentation, which sees this variant being far more bubbly than its natural counterpart.
The result is a refreshingly dry and flavorful cider with a nice foam. To the eye: Pale, golden yellow with quickly dissipating bubbles. On the nose: strong notes of vinegar (apple vinegar), white wine, champagne, and apple stems. It also presents a pleasant herbiness that is quite refreshing. On the palate: nice citrus flavors such as lemon and grapefruit coupled with the acidity and tartness of vinegar. A nice finish of citrus fruits, such as blood orange.
The cider is dry and refreshing. It is very nice on its own, but also complements fish excellently. During your next oyster adventure, try pairing this cider instead. It is refreshing and the strong citrus notes will complement the freshness of the oysters perfectly.
Cider should be stored in a cool, dry, dark place, similar to white wine
