‘El Gaitero’ Asturian Ciders are well-known across Spain. Because it is bottle-fermented and sealed with a champagne cork, this classic dry cider is known as a ‘Champagne’ cider. The label depicts a traditional Asturian bagpiper dressed in his kilt. Gaitero translates as “the piper.”
El Gaitero creates a light transparent straw-yellow cider with plentiful fine bubbles using traditional Asturian cider apple varietals. The bouquet is aromatic, reminiscent of apples and peaches, and the flavor is crisp and dry, with a lingering finish.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
